This slide trail shows selected figures and models from the main body of the SysML Extension for Physical Interaction and Signal Flow Simulation (SysPhS) version 1.1. specification exported to Modelica from the MagicDraw SysML Plugin or Cameo Systems Modeler® v19SP3 tools.

DISCLAIMER: This slide trail is intended as a technology assessment trail, not a tutorial trail (but you might still learn plenty from it).
It assumed in this trail that the reader is already familiar with Systems Modeling Language (SysML®). You can learn SysML by attending the Webel training course or by studying our online trail: TRAIL: Webel's ultimate guide to Systems Modeling Language with MagicDraw/Cameo.

This trail accompanies the following extensive slide trail on the SysPhS-1.1 Annex A examples, which some readers might find more immediately interesting and relevant, because it includes lot of general discussion about applying SysML/SysPhS to real world problems and modelling tips:

The models and diagrams shown in this trail version have been created independently in a MagicDraw SysML Plugin ensemble (equivalent to the Cameo Systems Modeler® product bundle).

The exported Modelica code shown in this trail in some cases differs from the Modelica code shown in the specification document, and in some cases the Modelica code shown in the specification has errors (some of which are tracked on this site).

The Modelica reference tool used for code validation is Wolfram SystemModeler, which is highly compliant with the primary Modelica language reference.

Many thanks to all contributors to the SysPhS-1.1 specification! Any possible errors or inconsistencies identified here are offered most constructively. It is appreciated fully just how tricky it can be to compose perfectly consistent text and to create consistent diagrams and tables in advance of full tool support.

OMG members may follow the SysPhyS 1.2 Revision Task Force (RTF) on the OMG JIRA, where some of the issues identified here have been reported.
