A partial list of differences between "official" SysMLv1.7 and the Magic Cyber-Systems Engineer ® (Cameo Systems Modeler®) implementation. It is not the purpose of this page to question why the developer's chose to depart from the SysMLv1.7 specification, it's just for your information.

It may be good to know about some of these difference if you are a Cameo tool user and you are studying for the OCSMP exams.

Quick notes on some difference (essentially TODO items requiring elaborating examples) are recorded below temporarily "freestyle".

Trivial: The Cameo notation for indicating the 'selection' Behavior on a Datastore uses a callout, which is slightly different from the UML2.5.1 spec (see Figure 15.59 DataStoreNode example).

There are numerous similar examples of notation representation differences, mostly of no consequence

[DEPRECATION] Although the older SysML FlowPort is strictly deprecated, the term "ports with flows" is often used for a Port typed by a block with a FlowProperty. The expression "flow port" is best avoided to prevent confusion.
[ISSUE] MagicDraw/Cameo 19SP3: Continuous and Discrete have metaclass [ActivityEdge, ObjectNode, Parameter] not just [ActivityEdge, Parameter] (via Rate), so may be applied directly to Pin and ActivityParameterNode
[ISSUE, TOOL, WARNING] MagicDraw/Cameo: DO NOT use the ObjectNode menu item on Activity Diagrams ever!
[ISSUE, TOOL] MagicDraw/Cameo: ERROR: Incorrectly uses 2 ObjectFlow edges and a CentralBufferNode for "elided Pin notation" instead of an abstract ObjectNode _symbol_ and 2 arrow _symbols_ (notations that are supposed to represent together 2 Pins and 1 ObjectFlow edge)
[DEPRECATION, TOOL, WARNING]{STRONG} SysML: MagicDraw/Cameo: DO NOT use the FlowPort or FlowSpecification menu items or smart manipulator items they are completely OBSOLETE (they create fully DEPRECATED SysML model element types)! Use FlowProperty on Block features instead.
[GOTCHA, TOOL, WARNING]{INFORMATIVE} SysMLv1: Rate in Cameo Systems Modeler (CATIA Magic) additionally extends ObjectNode (not just ActivityEdge and ParameterSet)
